so .. where did we eat tonight?
And .. surprise! We ate at Harrigan's. Eight of us, which included Lisa's 2 guests, Tim & Betsy.
Luke is bearing up as best he can against grandpa's prying camera. And if you look closely, Haley brought her pet coconut, Steve, along. That's right. His name is Steve. Cool moniker for a coconut, doncha think?I downed enough beer, before the food arrived, to make me forget that I wasn't all that hungry for some reason. I even licked the platter clean.

A coconut named Steve? How does Haley know it is a male?
What a great place. Do I even have to ask who your server was?
ReplyDeleteA pet coconut, huh? That's impressive.
coconut! (: sounds very funny from a "tropical grown kid". but it's sweet of her. i didn't realize that it could be a cute pet. i could give her a lot more if we would have been close, they just fall at our backyard. (:

Steve is a transsexual .. so I'm not sure Haley knows. I think she named the coconut thusly because it looked like a Steve. But I'm just guessing. WTF! Not even I know everything.
And you need not ask who the server was. Dummy. I tried to warn Haley not to name anything she was planning to eat later. Yep .. Steve. Impressive indeed.
Your comment, Psychelyn, reminded me of my Navy days, and visiting the Caribbean islands. I had never seen a real live banana tree until we visited Martinique.
Our Uncle Duon had banana trees in a small orchard on his ten acre property. I ran the pump early every morning that supplied the sprayers that watered the plot.
ReplyDeleteOh oh oh. I LOVE the neon sign photo!! So reminiscent of back in the day with my Dad's liquor store!
ReplyDeleteCute lil Haley has the most wonderful imagination! Who does she get that from?! :)
@ Brother Dave - Oh .. Bro. Dave, he had you fooled. Banana trees don't have long thin green serrated leaves.
ReplyDelete@ Tookie Tail - The signs create warm colorful lighting. And this is a tavern where you can bring family. Plus .. the food is top notch.
