a cookie makes everything better

  4. I'm looking forward to having family babies in my life once again. It gets even better .. they become family toddlers.

    And while I'm at it, allow me to debunk the myth known as "The Terrible Twos." No sucha thing!

    Imagine living your entire life up to the age of 2, believing you were the center of the universe. A feeling long ago earned. Then ya wake up one morning .. and something just doesn't feel right.

    It slowly dawns on you that you are not the center of the universe. And to make matters worse, you have a will. A strong one. And if people don't realize it, they'll know it soon enough. Just wait 'til the next time you don't get your way. You'll just lie down on the floor and bang your head against it 'til they acquiesce. That's if the screaming & hollering doesn't work.

    I've never met a 2 year old I didn't like. And of all my grandchildren .. I have had to spank only 1 .. and she was 2. I think everyone can guess who that girl is. There are consequences to inappropriate behaviors that work far better than spanking. (cat of nine tails, for instance).

    Two is a wonderful age.
