The only place that I have lived in that was worse than living in Phoenix Arizona, weather wise has been New Orleans, Louisiana.

I can only compare Dayton from a child's standpoint, winter was fun, I loved snow. For the last few years I lived in Dayton I discovered black snow and that wasn't much fun but then I moved. I know that I detest being cold and I also detest being hot and Phoenix has both. As soon as I pay my dues in Hell, I am outta here... : + )
