understanding mob mentality

Anyone following the pollsters recently will understand that the overwhelming majority of Americans are satisfied with their health care insurance.

Coupled with their deep distrust of proposed government run health care .. it should be no surprise that citizens are loudly voicing their concerns at the several Town Hall meetings orchestrated by the Democrats and being held across the land.

Of course .. our Democrat leaders have a simple explanation for all the angry uproar we are witnessing. These people have been planted by special interest groups to derail Obama's health care message .. they claim. The likes of Nancy Pelosi have even described these citizens as a mob .. comparing them to Nazis.

They just don't seem to get it. The electorate is speaking .. and the reply is to call them names. No surprise there. One AARP rep, after being shouted down by angry citizens, told them to go ahead and have their fun. Fun! Talk about a disconnect. Evidently, after watching this on national news, many AARP members have carried that fun to a new level by canceling their memberships.

Our elected officials had better be watching and listening .. because misunderstanding THIS mob mentality could result in their being out of a job come next election.

  1. I like my health care just fine, when I stroked I had no health care plan as the COSCTO plan was to start paying them $500. per month every month but they said it would probably be more. Screw that.

I told Jasmine that if anything happened to me to take me to County Hospital. As I was stroking she and a neighbor who is also a son in law took me to county at which time they examined me and put her and I in an ambulance and took us to Barrow Neurological with sirens wailing from what I was told. Sorry I missed that.

Unbeknownst to me she called her brother who lives and works in Manhattan as an attorney, she flew him here and he got me on AXXESS or whatever it is. They gave me Carte Blanche for 1 year for whatever I needed.

    That's my health care plan.

We have had the same family doctor for 35 years maybe longer and with the kids and grandkids we keep him fairly busy, He accepts payment at the completion of the visit and he is very reasonable, he does not think that he is a god that has to charge a lot so he can have a home at the country club and vacation in France each year, sending his kids to Harvard. He's a regular guy, got his license on the internet.... lol, kidding.

That's the way it is, we live in Mexico for all practical purposes, little Mexico I call it and every one has AXXCESS or whatever it is for full medical treatment. The administration does not want us to know that we have it but we do, JFK wrote the bill and perhaps one of his assassins passed the bill. Lyndon Baines Johnson was his name.

  2. That’s the Democrats. They can say ANYTHING and it becomes truth regardless of how idiotic it sounds. The media will bless it.

The Dallybama, on the campaign trail ask for more involvement in government, more open discussions, more sharing of ideas - as long as you agreed with him. Now he said in a speech today the those who made the mess should shut up and lets get into the process of fixing the mess. First of all, the mess comes from both sides of the house and most of the Republicans who caused it a gone. But Obamalama wants no discussion, no exchanging of ideas, nothing but to kowtow to his every demand. He has, in his short term, increased the national debt 4 times what Bush did and he will continue to destroy the USA.

  3. It appears that our government would not do healthcare well at all.

Ask Congress if it even has a model for nationalized care. I believe, not.

Key Republican politicians showing up at the town hall meetings has been documented (unless those guys sent their twins to be photographed).

What is unfortunate is that the hecklers cannot engage in dialog to argue their point of view. It would be far smarter to present the cons and help to educate those who believe our government will do the right thing for us.

How sad that the town hall meetings are 'shout-downs' when someone begins to speak.

  4. I appreciate the input, guys. The few town hall meetings that showed individuals taking their Congressional Rep. to task .. no shout-downs. And you could see that the elected rep. was quite taken aback by the input he was getting.

But the shout-outs quickly became the news of choice .. gotta have that viewership!

And these town hall folks are of various political persuasions .. doesn't matter because they all have the same concerns about a bill that most of that mob on the hill haven't read .. and wouldn't understand if they did read it .. some claiming they would need a lawyer to interpret it for them.

And tort reform is not included in this bill .. that's right. Most of us know that many expensive hospital procedures are done for liability reasons only. Then there's the high premiums that medical practitioners must pay for liability insurance. So .. we have a health care bill that President Obama tried to ramrod through Congress .. and who among us knows what it contains? Our nation's leaders included.

This bill will be reviewed Sunday evening (tomorrow) on Huckabee.

  5. The media is reporting that all town hall meetings have been totally interrupted with shouting crowds.

If this is incorrect, I am glad to hear it.
