What a nifty little gadget .. doesn't even come with an instruction manual. You don't need one. Simple instructions on the box.
I plugged it into my USB port, and it installed the software on my PC. I followed the easy setup prompts .. then clicked [ACTIVATE]. Unfortunately, the account can take up to 2 hours to become active. So .. I'm waiting. Patiently.
Imagine .. a year of phone calls to anywhere in the US of A for only forty bucks. And I didn't even have to pay that. It's my Christmas present from Brother Dave & Sis-In-Law Shirley. Updates to follow.

let there be sound
Finally .. I got off my dead ass and dragged my Soundsticks from the dining room to my "sCargo Emergency Com Center." It's a USB connection, and my HP recognized those puppies right away. What you don't see is the powered sub-woofer on the floor. Oh my! It all DO sound good.

confessions of a cocoa addict
First .. let me point out that I'm not a "layin' passed out in the gutter" type of cocoa addict. I keep the problem under strict control. One cup of hot cocoa a day. Maybe two.
It's a natural mood elevator, and just what the doctor ordered for a dreary winter's day. And the 50/50 blend of natural and Dutched cocoas really bring out its rich flavor.
Cocoa is the food of the gods. Is that because the gods need not be concerned about their health? Or are there real health benefits to consuming cocoa?

green goal met .. and so early in the year
This is my final green bag purchase .. and it's from Kroger. Nice lookin' too. And the price was right. Eighty cents.

I retrieved my retired HP Pavilion 7840 from Jeff & Nancy's basement and pressed it into emergency service.
And here it is .. sitting on my kitchen table. My link to the outside world. It may not be a MAC .. but then it ain't broke either!

greenpiece
My New Year resolution for 2009 is to be green at all the supermarkets where I trade. Three markets down, and one to go.
Just picked up my Dot's reusable grocery bags yesterday. I had asked the manager a couple weeks ago why they had stopped selling 'em, and he replied that he didn't know, but would look into it. Obviously .. he did.
Green bags appear to be growing in popularity as people become more environmentally conscious. It's a way to help make a significant contribution at a reasonable cost.
