an autumn birthday celebration

Sunday was a typical fall day for these parts. Partly cloudy, light breeze, temperature hovering around 70F. And .. an afternoon at the park for a special celebration.

A special birthday celebration.

Kaden is 2 years old. All boy.

Family & friends gather at the shelter and dig in to a great dinner fare.

Hey .. what happened to the cake? Good thing I only need 2 candles.

Aunt Sharon enjoys some snuggle time with Kaden's cousin, Anna.

what's this in my mailbox?

I pulled this package out of my mailbox this morning .. reeking with the odor of coffee beans. The mailing label has the Old Bisbee Roasters logo on it. I didn't order any coffee beans. What's going on?

Well .. I check my email, and there's a message from Brother Dave .. forwarded from Old Bisbee. It appears that they have debited his bank account for the beans .. and shipped 'em to me. This can only mean one thing. Seth is shipping coffee beans to us conservatives in the midwest, and charging them to liberals on the Left Coast.

Wow! That changes my whole viewpoint. It seems that liberals are a necessary evil. I feel so bad after all the unkind things I've said about 'em.
